Extra Activities in 2002
Feb 9 - We Remember: Katherine B. Zuro (1929-2002) former member and officer.
April 7 - Anelise Run: Members guarded street crossings from 9:00 am to 10 am (Sunday) to ensure the safety of the participants.
May 19 - Kid's I.D. Day: (Sunday) - At the Park Ridge Community Center - 1515 W. Touhy (at Western Ave.). Patrol members assisted with the registration process.
June 29 - Adopt-A-Highway: Members cleaned the South side of Oakton Street from Oriole Ave. to Prospect Ave.
Sept. 7 - Oktoberfest: The Patrol had an informational display together with the Police Department.
Sept. 11 - CPR Training: Park Ridge Paramedics provided training to members.
Sept. 28 - Charity Classic 5k Race: The Patrol provided guards at street crossings from 8:00 am to 9:00 am (Saturday) along the course of the race.
Oct. 3 - 23rd Anniversary Celebration: Citizens Patrol celebrated 23 years of service to the community.
Oct. 5 - Fire Department Open House: North Fire Station at Oakton & Greenwood. The Patrol had an informational display.
Nov. 8 - Disaster Drill: The Patrol participated in the disaster drill at Maine Township High School - South.
Nov. 29 - Park Ridge Mechant's Association Open House: The Patrol assisted with traffic control in the Southpark area.
Dec. 11 - We Remember: William A. Kopp (1930-2002) former member.
Dec. 21 - Park Ridge Falcons Pee Wee football team - National Champions Parade: The Patrol provided guards at street crossings along the course of the parade.
