Extra Activities in 2004

 

February - 7th Anniversary of Citizens Patrol WEB site: Over 34,000 "hits". Numerous contacts with citizens and other Citizen Patrols.

April 25 - Anelise Run: The Patrol provided guards at street crossings to ensure the safety of the participants.

April 25 - Kid's I.D. Day: At the Park Ridge Community Center - 1515 W. Touhy (at Western Ave.). From Noon until 4:00 P.M. Patrol members assisted with the registration process.

March 24 - We Remember: Alfred P. Meaume (1923-2004) former member and advocate.

May 31 - Memorial Day Parade: The Patrol participated in the parade.

July 24 - Taste of Park Ridge: The Patrol had an informational display.

Sept. 08 - CPR Training: Park Ridge Paramedics provided training to members.

Sept. 25 - Charity Classic 5k Race: The Patrol provided guards at street crossings along the race course to ensure the safety of the participants.

Oct. 02 - Fire Department Open House: North Fire Station at Oakton & Greenwood.  The Patrol had an informational display.

Oct. 04 - 25th Anniversary Recognition:  The Mayor read a Proclamation from the Park Ridge City Council commending the contribution of the Patrol.

Oct. 07 - 25th Anniversary Celebration Dinner:  The Patrol celebrated 25 years of service to the community.  Over 100 attended including Park Ridge City Officials and members of the Police and Fire Departments.

Oct. 18 & 19 - Park Ridge Police Department Citizens Survey: Patrol members assisted with the telephone survey of residents views on safety and the Park Ridge Police Department.
